Stephanie Rodriguez, LMHC, CCATP is a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapist committed to enhancing the lives of all her clients to overcome life’s toughest challenges. Whether it is processing difficult topics, navigating through recent changes, or confronting possible life barriers, she strives to create a safe and exploratory counseling relationship that fosters growth, a sense of empowerment, and emotional well-being.
She received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and has over eight years of professional experience serving the New York community. This opportunity has provided her with extensive knowledge and experience in discovering optimal interventions for her clients.
Stephanie has worked with children, adolescents, and adults providing individual, group, and family therapy sessions treating clients with conditions, such as: depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, suicidality, self-harming behavior, and adjustment/behavior issues. She has been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, and neurocounseling. Stephanie has also received her Certification in Clinical Anxiety Treatment (CCATP). Previously, she used her training to help teens and adults experiencing emergency mental health crises by volunteering as a Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line.
As a bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician, she is able to meet the needs of the community in NYC to ensure that language is not a barrier to receiving treatment. In addition, Stephanie is able to address the stigma surrounding mental health in the Hispanic/Latino community. While being culturally competent, Stephanie can assess, support, and help get her clients’ life back on track while enhancing their well-being. She is committed to the well-being of all of her clients and goes above and beyond to cater to their needs.
Stephanie enjoys empowering individuals and bearing witness to their healing and growth.
Stephanie understands that life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional can make things better. Stephanie uses a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with clients to identify their goals and develop a customized treatment plan. She also places a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
